Caesar started his kick boxing career at the age of 17 and his professional debut was in 1972. Since the debut, he has proven his extraordinary talent, quoted as “Return of Tadashi Sawamura (Kicking Demon)” and became the Welter Weight Class Champion of Japan Kick Boxing Association. However, he left the world of kickboxing as there were some conflicts between the organizations and he went on to search for a new battlefield.
At that time, Mr. Satoshi Sayama, the first “Tiger Mask ” and Caesar were both in search for a new martial arts system. With the advice of the God of Pro-Wrestling Mr. Karl Gotch, who Caesar met through Mr. Sayama, in 1985 he established the “SHOOT BOXING”, a new style Standing Vale Tudo, recognizing the "Throwing and Submissions" together with "Punches and Kicks". As the founder, trainer and at the same time active fighter, he took the leadership in the organization. Also, he managed to take the All Japan Hawk Class Title and became the first Champion in 1986.
Later, as a fighter and a promoter, he traveled around the world extensively and established international branches in the US, Europe, Oceania and countries in Asia. In 1988, he had come to the day of the Hawk Class World Title fight while he was running around managing the budget of the events and being chased by the daily administrative duties as the chairman of the organization. Being the star fighter of the SHOOT BOXING, it was never allowed him to lose. The massive pressure was on him; however, he managed to become the champion with a clean high kick KO.
During this time period, the founder of RINGS Mr. Akira Maeda who created a great sensation at the Pro-Wrestling world with UWF, and the Chief Director of PRIDE, Mr. Nobuhiko Takada were frequently visiting the gym where Caesar was the coach to train them with kicking skills. Even in recent years, beyond the wall of different organizations, a lot of the elite fighters come to Caesar for the training and advice, it is purely because his excellent skills, the training method and most probably his personality.
In the 90s, after a series of successful promotions in also international events, SHOOT BOXING expanded worldwide. Caesar has trained many world class fighters and along with his career as a trainer, he began to appear in different media, Movies, TV, and Radio shows.

 

Especially for the movies, he has earned himself a sound reputation as an unique actor. Today, Caesar can be seen in many films especially films produced by director Takashi Miike.
