Besides the Shoot Boxing middle weight World Tournament "S-cup", there is another Festival to accomplish the exchange between many sports and organizations. "GROUND ZERO" has originally the meaning of "the center of an explosion", so there is an expectation for being the center of the explosion of Martial Arts creating a stir in the world, and also this title has the image to be a free space with nothing in the ground. Until now, this event was held in 4 circumstances.


First Event 26 January 1996/Yokohama Cultural Gymnasium

Shoot Boxing accomplished the dream of featuring together different kind of sports such as Muethai, Kick Boxing, Pro-Wrestling, Kyokushin Karate, Daidojuku and SAW. It became to be a Festival to spread out to the world the fascination of each kind of Martial Arts.

Second Event 14 November 1998/Nihon Budoukan

Dream match that gathered the 6 organizations in which domestic Kick Boxing was divided in. Masato, who is now in full activity at K-1 MAX, and Kohiruimaki they also participated in this event. At that time the fight between the gay Muethai fighter Parinya and women wrestling fighter Kyoko Inoue got attention and became a topic of the news.

Third Event 23 January 2005/Fukuoka International Center

First Shoot Boxing event held in Fukuoka. In this event participated K-1 fighters, also had Lumina Sato´s exhibition match, MMA fight with PRIDE fighter Daijiro Matsui; and as the first event, this also was rich in variety and got the public attention.

Fourth Event 28 October 2007/Ryogoku Kokugikan

Different from the GROUND ZERO events until now, it became to be the first event where many top fighters from the world such as Andy Ologon, Gilbert Ivel, and Hayato Mach Sakurai fought under SB rules. SB top fighters Souwer, Ogata, Shishido also participated, gathering a number of 8,000 fans on the event.
