「ONE172」海人VSマラット・グレゴリアンに関する抗議文提出について

　本日3月24日（月）、ONE Championshipに対してシュートボクシング協会より以下の抗議文を提出しましたことをお知らせいたします。

「3月23日（日）に開催された「ONE172」後に行われた記者会見におけるイベントCEOチャトリ氏の一部発言にシュートボクシング協会として抗議を申し上げます。

　当初、今大会では協会から海人が参戦し、マラット・グレゴリアン選手と対戦を予定していました。大会前日（22日）午前11:00～13:00に行われた公式計量で海人はハイドレーションテストおよび体重測定をクリアし、グレゴリアン選手の同結果に備えました。

　しかし、ルールに定められた規定時間内（11:00～13:00）にグレゴリアン選手は一度も計量会場に現れず、ハイドレーションテストのための尿サンプルの提出と体重測定を行いませんでした。

　ONEの公式ルールブックには、選手が規定時間内にハイドレーションテストと公式計量を行い、ハイドレーションテストの数値超過と体重超過した場合の記載はありますが、規定時間を超過した場合の記載はなく、その後の采配について現場のONEの競技スタッフから一切の説明がなされなかった経緯がございます。

　さらに試合が実施されるのか否か定かではない状態のなか、海人と同行していた協会スタッフを通さず、ONEのスタッフから直接海人とトレーナーに公開計量場所への移動指示のメールが届き、しかもその指示内容も間違ったものでした。

　そういった混乱が続く中、協会スタッフが電話でONE側に問い合わせ、グレゴリアン選手が規定時間外でもハイドレーションテストをクリアした場合にキャッチウェイトでの試合交渉権利が発生することを確認しました。

　しかし、公式計量の規定時間の約1時間後（14:00）に現れたグレゴリアン選手のハイドレーションテストには、規定時間を超過していたため日本の医療従事者が計量会場から退席しており、グレゴリアン選手が行ったハイドレーションテストには疑念が残るものでした。

　こうした経緯もあり、最終的に海人とグレゴリアン選手のキャッチウエイトでの試合実施は合意に至りませんでした。

　今回海人は本当にリスペクトしていたONEという舞台で、自身が熱望した対戦相手との試合に挑むにあたり、まさに全てを賭けて自分を作り込み、ONEの規定に則ったハイドレーションテストおよび体重測定をクリアし、試合を備えている状況でした。

　その海人の心情たるやいかばかりかと察すると、昨晩のチャトリ氏による「オーバーしたのはたった300グラム」、「彼は怖がって戦わない道を選んだ」などのあまりに無責任な暴言は看過できるものではありません。

　シュートボクシング協会としては、格闘技業界をより健全に発展させることを第一に考えており、あらゆる団体やイベントとのトラブルを望みませんが、ただ一つ、今回ONEのルールを尊守し誰よりも試合を心待ちにしていた海人への侮辱的な発言については撤回および謝罪を要求するものであります。

Initially, Kaito from us was scheduled to participate in this event and fight against Marat Grigorian. At the official weigh-in held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on the day before the event (March 22), Kaito passed the hydration test and the weigh-in, and waited for knowing Grigorian’s result of both tests.

However, Grigorian has never shown up at the weigh-in room at any time during the stipulated time in the rules (11:00 am to 1:00 pm) and did not submit a urine sample for the hydration test and make weight.

The official ONE rulebook states what to do if a hydration test result or weight limit is exceeded within the stipulated time. However, there was no mention of how an athlete would be treated if he takes a hydration test and is weighed in after the stipulated time, and no explanation was given by the ONE competition staff on site about how to handle the situation after that.

Furthermore, with the match still uncertain, the ONE staff sent an e-mail directly to Kaito and his trainer instructing them to go to the weigh-in site without going through our SB staff who had accompanied Kaito, and the instructions were incorrect.

Amidst such confusion, our SB staff contacted ONE by phone and confirmed that if Grigorian passes the hydration test after the stipulated time, he would have the right to negotiate a match at a catchweight.

When Grigorian showed up to take the hydration test about an hour after the official weigh-in time, the stipulated time had passed and the Japanese medical staff had already left the weigh-in room, raising questions about the hydration test Grigorian took.

Because of these circumstances, Kaito and Grigorian were unable to reach an agreement to fight at the catch weight.

Kaito had high hopes for the opportunity to face an opponent of his dreams on the stage of ONE, a place he truly respected.So he had put everything he had into preparing himself for the fight, and had passed the hydration test and weigh-ins in accordance with ONE’s regulations, in preparation for the fight.

When one considers the emotional state of Kaito, Mr. Chatri’s irresponsible comments last night that “Grigorian was only 300 grams overweight.” and that “Kaito chose not to fight because he was scared” cannot be tolerated.

Shoot Boxing Association does not want any trouble with any organization or event, but we demand a retraction and an apology for the insulting comments made against Kaito, who respected ONE’s rules and was looking forward to the fight more than anyone else.
